The National Science and Technology Forum (NSTF) announced the group of nominees contending for the 27th prestigious NSTF-South32 Awards, known as the ‘Science Oscars’ of South Africa. Grain SA’s monthly magazine, SA Graan/Grain, was nominated for the Communication Award for providing an accessible knowledge hub containing agricultural research and more to the benefit of all involved from farm to fork.

These awards were established in 1998 to recognise and promote outstanding contributions to science, engineering, technology (SET) and innovation by SET-related professionals, teams and organisations in South Africa.


This includes experienced researchers, engineers, innovators, science communicators, engineering research capacity developers, and organisational managers/leaders as well as data and research managers.

SA Graan/Grain is proud to serve as compass for the sustainable production of grain and oilseeds in South Africa with information based on relevant research, technology, production techniques, and expertise.
