NAMPO Harvest Day again proved why it is the most anticipated event on the agricultural calendar, with Case IH once more stealing the show with a line-up of newly developed machinery tailored for South African grain producers.

Steiger 715 Quadtrac
The undisputed showstopper at the Case IH stand was the Steiger 715 Quadtrac – a powerhouse tracked tractor built for any challenge. Now featuring a larger undercarriage for enhanced stability and durability, this machine is driven by a 16-litre Cursor FPT Iveco engine fitted with a two-stage turbo system. To optimise performance, it boasts two intercoolers positioned closer to the turbochargers, ensuring cooler, denser air intake and improved fuel efficiency.

With its Quadtrac system providing superior traction across any terrain and integrated precision farming technology via FieldOps™, the Steiger 715 isn’t just about brute strength – it’s about smart farming with exceptional control.

260 Series combine harvester
Also new at NAMPO was the 260 Series combine harvester, representing a significant leap forward in harvesting technology. The star feature is Harvest Command™, an advanced AI-driven system that automatically monitors and adjusts critical harvesting functions. It controls rotor speed, fan speed, sieve adjustments, and crop feed rates in real time, optimising performance and reducing grain loss with minimal operator intervention.

The harvester is equipped with two Pro 1200 screens, allowing operators to monitor both harvest progress and grain quality data simultaneously – a game-changer for productivity and efficiency in the field.

2500 Ecolo-Till
For producers seeking effective soil management, the 2500 Ecolo-Till ripper offers a perfect balance between power and precision. Designed with 22-inch cut wheels that actively resist debris build-up, this ripper works seamlessly through heavy residue conditions. Its agronomically engineered design presses soil forward as it works, improving soil structure and significantly enhancing water absorption.

Puma tractors
Completing the impressive showcase of new technology was the upgraded Puma 185, 200, and 220 Series tractors – arguably the most versatile machines for any farm. These models now feature an extended long-wheelbase chassis, improving stability and pulling capacity.

Inside, the newly designed cab is 8% larger than its predecessor and offers a remarkable 51% increase in operator comfort. Add to that automatic steering with up to 1,5 cm accuracy, and you have a tractor built for precision tasks and long working hours.
